Bobcats Runners Continue to Improve at Harry F. Anderson Invitational
The Bobcats were back in action on Saturday at the Roberts Wesleyan College Harry F. Anderson Invitational with over 20 schools and 400 runners represented at the meet.
Crystal Powell was a standout performer for the Bobcats, setting a season-best and closing in on a new personal-best time as well. Cory McGaughy, Je’maul Belton and Tyler Short each had strong individual performances and McGaughy recording the best time of the group at 33:19. Belton and Short finished just seconds apart at 37:09 and 37:17, respectively, with Short improving on the time he ran at the 2017 national meet.
Eric Romney returned from a short absence and immediately began shaving time off his first appearance of the year, trimming a whopping 1:20 from his season opening finish.
The Bobcats next race comes on September 29 at the Mike Woods Invitational at SUNY Geneseo.
