Syracuse, NY:
The Bryant & Stratton College- Syracuse Women's Soccer team picked up a pair of victories over the weekend to improve their overall record to 6-2-2. The victories came over Bryant & Stratton College- Albany, 6-0 and Finger Lakes Community College, 7-0.
How it Happened:
On Friday afternoon, the Lady Bobcats traveled to sister school, Bryant & Stratton College- Albany for a rematch of the first game of the season. Similar to the season opener, the Lady Bobcats of Syracuse were dominant in the match from the opening whistle. Standout performances from Marina Nawa (3 goals, 1 assist), Masego Nfandiso (1 goal, 1 assist), and Maria Gabriela Batista Cordeiro (1 goal, 1 save) paced the Lady Bobcats to the convincing 7-0 victory.
On Saturday afternoon, the Lady Bobcats played their third match in as many days. Similar to the day before, the Lady Bobcats were on the road again for a rematch, but this time against Finger Lakes Community College.
Despite battling fatigue from three consecutive matches, the Lady Bobcats were able to rely heavily on their depth in this match. The quality that persists throughout the entire roster helped the Lady Bobcats to a convincing 7-0 win over Finger Lakes Community College.
"I am really proud of the way that our girls battled all weekend long" said Head Coach, Alex Grigorita. "Three matches in three days is a difficult task, but I felt that it was necessary for our young team to experience this type of stretch. We are hoping to have a similar stretch in a few weeks' time."
Next Game:
The Lady Bobcats will have a few days of recovery before getting back on the road this Wednesday, October 19th for a matchup with Sussex Community College (NJ) at 4pm.
