Women’s Basketball Defeats Cazenovia College, 80-54

The Bryant & Stratton College- Syracuse Women's Basketball team defeated Cazenovia College on Tuesday night with a final score of 80-54. The victory for the Lady Bobcats maintains their perfect start to the season and increases their overall record to 6-0.
How it happened:
Senior guard, Jehiah Cook tallied 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists to lead the Bryant & Stratton College- Syracuse Women's Basketball team to an 80-54 victory over Cazenovia College on Tuesday night.
Cook led the charge for the Lady Bobcats in scoring but was joined in double figures by three other players on the evening for a balanced offensive attack. Sophomore forward, Eunice Sillong continued her dominant play on the interior with 17 points and another 15 rebounds.
Joining Cook and Sillong in double figures were guards, Suliat Afolabi with 13 points and Shania Lewis with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
The Lady Bobcats balanced offensive evening allowed for them to jump on top of Cazenovia College early and continuously extend their lead over the course of the game. At the end of the first half, the Lady Bobcats doubled the scoreboard and were ahead 44-22.
In the second half, contributions off the bench from Jaisy Soto (9 points) and Mia Culver (3 points) helped the Lady Bobcats to their 6th straight victory to start the season.
"I am really proud of this group and how we continue to improve from game-to-game," said Head Coach Quantae Elijah. "We are doing a really great job of playing as a team and feeding off each other's energy. Heading into a big game on Friday night against a strong Bryant & Stratton College- Buffalo, we will need to do the same."

The Lady Bobcats will return to their home court at the Tipperary Hill Community Center on Friday evening at 4pm for what should be an exciting matchup against the #2-ranked team in the country, Bryant & Stratton College- Buffalo.
