Men's and Women's Basketball Earn USCAA National Championship Bids

The Bryant & Stratton College- Syracuse Men's and Women's Basketball team's both received an at-large bid to the 2023 USCAA National Championship tournament on Sunday evening.
Men's Basketball Preview
On Sunday evening, following a tough loss to Bryant & Stratton College- Buffalo in the Vaden Cup Championship game, the Bryant & Stratton College- Syracuse Men's Basketball team received the great news that they would be traveling to Richmond, Virginia for this year's USCAA National Championship tournament.
Coming off the heels of a program-record for single season victories at 18, the bid to the National Championship did not come as a surprise to the Bobcats. The team received the #5-seed in this year's tournament and will play NCAA DII and USCAA affiliate, Salem University, in the first round on March 13th.
"I am so proud of this team and how hard we have worked to earn this moment," said Head Coach Clay Gagen-Sherman following the USCAA Championship berth. "As a coach, it is always a great feeling to accomplish some of the goals that you set with your team at the start of the season. While we have checked an apperance off the list, we move on to our next goal of making some noise down in Virginia."

Women's Basketball Preview
Following the Men's Selection Show on Sunday evening, the Lady Bobcats, in a similar fashion, waited to hear their fate following a Vaden Cup Championship game defeat to Bryant & Stratton College- Buffalo. Fortunately for the Lady Bobcats, they too were selected to participate in the 2023 USCAA National Championship tournament.
The Lady Bobcats were selected as the #7-seed in this year's USCAA National Championship tournament and will have a tough first round matchup versus the #2-seed, Bluefield State on March 13th.
"We are so excited to be a part of this year's USCAA National Championship tournament," said Head Coach Quantae Elijah following the at-large berth. "This is a great experience for our group and I am looking forward to working with our team to try to earn the upset!"
