Northborough, MA-
The Bryant & Stratton College- Syracuse Baseball team lost their first two games of the season on Sunday afternoon to Fisher College, 17-1 and 14-0. The losses are the first two games of the season and start the Bobcats' record at 0-2.
How it Happened:
The Bryant & Stratton College- Syracuse Baseball team traveled to Northborough, Massachusetts to play their first games in program history over the weekend. The Bobcats were initially scheduled to play a double-header on both Saturday and Sunday, but the games on Saturday were cancelled due to inclement weather conditions.
On Sunday afternoon, the Bobcats took the field for the first time in program history to play the Falcons of Fisher College in two 7-inning games as the weather conditions were still unfavorable.
The first game of the double-header saw the Bobcats suffer defeat losing 17-1. The bright spot in the first game for the Bobcats was a single in the top of the 4th inning by Evan Reynolds that drove in Vincent Lasanta for the first run in the history of the Bobcats Baseball program. Lasanta went 2-for-3 in the first game and scored the Bobcats' only run.
The second leg of the double-header followed a similar theme of the first game and saw the Bobcats lose 14-0. The Bobcats were no-hit over the course of 7 innings by 4 separate Falcons pitchers. For the Bobcats, Jacob Galvan came in as a relief pitcher and gave the Bobcats some really strong innings. Galvan threw 4.0 innings pitched giving up just 4 runs (3 earned runs) and added 3 strikeouts.
Next Game:
The Bobcats will have a couple weeks off before their first ever home game on March 15th at 2pm vs. Cazenovia College.
