Bryant & Stratton College - Syracuse
Bobcats Show Heart at Harry F. Anderson Invitational
Sep 27, 2016

Injuries and illness have been the defining story of this year?s Bryant & Stratton College cross country season. Both teams have had to deal with a number of missing runners with the women?s side being the hardest hit by the injury bug.

That hasn?t kept the squad from continued improvements on the course, however. This is especially true of freshman runner Keianah Greene who has been a driving force for the women?s squad all season. This has rubbed off on the men?s side as team captain Brandon Moore and the rest of the squad showed their support of their teammate with a chant of ?heart? prior to the men?s race at the Harry F. Anderson Invitational.

The men?s team went on to all post personal best times on the afternoon and improve on their previous meet?s time by nearly 27 minutes.

?It is hard to express how proud I am of this group. They are always ready and willing to work hard, and they don?t complain when they have to run through illness or injury. This group is truly a pleasure to work with.? Said Coach Ryan Johnson.

The Bobcats will be back in action on October 1 at the Cazenovia College Invitational.
