The Bryant & Stratton-Syracuse Lady Bobcats faced off against the Shaw University Bears Sunday afternoon at the CNY Sports Centre. Early on, Shaw had a lot of good entry opportunities but couldn’t seem to get the touch they needed in the attacking area. Bryant & Stratton had some breakaway opportunities, but couldn’t seem to find the net either in the first half. Both teams were definitely playing a conservative tempo in the early going of the match, and we entered the break deadlocked add zero.

 Shortly after the second half began, Masego Nfandiso got her self back on the score sheet in the 48th minute with an incredible goal as she used her quickness to slash through the defense, from a beautiful through ball from Alba Serrano. This would be the deciding more of the game as we would end 1-0. 

This is another great performance from freshmen Mireia Ferrero Rosino. Not only is she already earned “USCAA Goalie of the Week honors, she continues to impress each and every single time she steps on the pitch. 

 

Next game : The Lady Bobcats will travel to William Smith College for a 7pm matchup on Thursday October 5th.
