Bobcats Drop Tight Affair with Albany College of Pharmacy
Sep 11, 2017

The Bryant & Stratton College women's soccer team fell to 0-2 on the season after dropping a 4-1 contest with Albany College of Pharmacy.

ACOP jumped out to an early lead as Erin Tersengo opened the scoring at the 12-minute mark after BSC established early dominance in possession. The lack of finish from the Bobcats kept the score 1-0 entering halftime despite promising build up play throughout the half.

Albany would best their first half strike by doubling their lead just 14 seconds into the second stanza. Katie Benson's tally came from just outside the 18-yard box, putting BSC in a position where they needed to chase the game for the rest of the second half.

Krystal Taylor pulled the Bobcats within one, combining with Portia Davis to bring the score to 2-1. However, that would be as close as BSC would get. ACOP would score twice within the final 10 minutes of the contest to extend the final score to 4-1 as Katie Benson competed her hat trick to seal the final score for the visitors.

"Much like last week, I am disappointed with the result but I saw many positives and some things that need work," head coach Amanda Belsito said. "We have a long break until our next game and it's important that we take this break and work on our game and get prepared for the next one."

Bryant & Stratton will be off until September 19 when they hit the road in search of their first win of the year against SUNY Canton.

This brings Stratton to 0-2 on the year. Their next game is away at SUNY Canton on the 19th of September. Their next home game is on the 24th against William Smith College at Jones Road.
