Bobcats Back on the Winning Track, Topping Mohawk Valley & Alfred State
Oct 4, 2016

Bryant & Stratton College suffered their second loss of the season as Albany College of Pharmacy grabbed a 2-0 decision on September 24. The women were back at it last week looking to regain their footing in the national landscape with a pair of wins over Mohawk Valley Community College and Alfred State.

Shareka Joseph and Kai Jacobs ran the show against Mohawk Valley, scoring each of the Bobcats three goals with Joseph providing the helper on Jacobs' goal. The 3-0 win over Mohawk Valley was a steady victory in which the Bobcats put nine shots on target to MVCC's four - five of which coming from Joseph and Jacobs.

Megan Hagadorn and Lissette Infante shared a clean sheet for the Bobcats as Infante pushed aside three chances in her 45 minutes in goal.

The follow up match against Alfred State was a different story. BSC fell behind early on as Stormi Kruger put the hosts on top off a set piece just 15 minutes into the game.

The Bobcats would surge back before the first half was out. Andrea Giron keyed both attacks with precise balls that played Kai Jacobs and Portia Davis on goal. Jacobs shot from distance was a beautiful finish while Davis slotted well on a break.

Unlike the match against MVCC, Hagadorn played the full 90, making nine saves on ten shots for the Bobcats, helping secure a key victory where BSC was on the ropes at times.

At 6-2-1 the Bobcats have five more regular season matches remaining with their eye on the postseason.
