Bobcats Fall in Top-10 Clash with Albany College of Pharmacy
Sep 26, 2016

The much anticipated matchup with Albany College of Pharmacy did not go as planned for Bryant & Stratton College, as the Bobcats dropped a 2-0 decision to the fourth ranked team in the nation.

Despite entering the game with a gameplan to counter ACPH's focus on Kai Jacobs and Portia Davis, BSC was unable to find the first tally. The Bobcats enjoyed plenty of control throughout the first half but their attack ultimately lacked substance in the final third.

It would be much of the same in the second half as BSC probed forward but were unable to solve Kennedy Rives, who finished with seven saves. Bobcat goalkeeper Megan Hagadorn turned in an impressive effort of her own, stopping 10 ACPH shots on the day.

Ultimately ACPH broke through, capitalizing on a pair of BSC errors late in the second half. Erin Tersengo and Katie Benson each scored in the final 15 minutes of the match, stealing away a key victory in a game between two top-10 teams in the USCAA polls.

The loss is the second of the season for the Bobcats, who now must look forward to Thursday's game against Mohawk Valley CC and Saturday's contest with Alfred State.
