Bobcats Close Season with 10-0 Drubbing of Onondaga CC
Oct 20, 2016

The Bryant & Stratton College women?s soccer team closed their regular season slate with a 10-0 win over local-rival, Onondaga Community College.

Portia Davis got the Bobcats off on the right foot with a goal just 24 seconds into the game. Her goal set the tone for a flurry of first half scoring as BSC would tack on two more goals before the game was 20 minutes old. By the end of the first half the Bobcats were out to a commanding 6-0 advantage.

It would be more of the same in the second half as Kai Jacobs continued the scoring party with her goal in the 57th minute. Jacobs was utterly dominant throughout the game, scoring once and adding five assists, creating dangerous offensive opportunities with nearly every touch. Jacobs wasn?t the only bright spot, of course. Maria Vela added a brace to go along with three assists while Shareka Joseph tallied four goals of her own. As a group, Jacobs, Vela and Joseph factored in every goal scored by the Bobcats on the afternoon.

The victory not only gives BSC the 315 bragging rights, it pushes their record to 9-4-1 on the season with the USCAA National Tournament on the horizon. The Bobcats will be in the Student Union on Tuesday, November 1 at 5:00 pm for the USCAA National Championship Selection Show. Join the team to see where they?ll be seeded for the National Tournament.
