Bryant & Stratton College - Syracuse
Bobcats Topple the Nation's Top Team
Oct 16, 2017

If there was a game on the schedule Bryant & Stratton College had circled, it was this one. Nearly one year after a heartbreaking National Championship defeat, the Bobcats were able to enact some revenge on the University of Maine-Fort Kent with a 3-1 victory.

UMFK would open the scoring when Miguel Barnaby got in behind the Bobcats line and deposited on a breakaway in the opening 25 minutes. The UMFK lead would be short-lived as the Bobcats put the pedal down over the final 20 minutes of the first half.

Matthieu LeRoux was the beneficiary of a terrific build up play from Dragon Cvretovic that leveled the score at one. LeRoux would show off his own skills on the ball just five minutes later, picking his way through a host of defenders to give the Bobcats a 2-1 lead.

LeRoux would complete his hat trick at the 40 minute mark, poaching a loose ball in the box to ice the game away for the Bobcats. Bryant & Stratton enjoyed a dominant performance, outshooting UMFK 16-6 on the day. The win brings the Bobcats to 9-0 on the year with an eye on another deep run at the National Tournament.
