Takoma Park, MD-
The Bryant & Stratton College- Syracuse Men's Basketball team dropped its 5th game of the season to Washington Adventist University on Sunday, 83-71. The Bobcats record falls to 9-5 on the season.
How it Happened:
The Bryant & Stratton College- Syracuse Men's Basketball team traveled down to Takoma Park, Maryland for a rematch with Washington Adventist University. Earlier this season, the two teams played in a tightly contested game that saw the Shock defeat the Bobcats by 1-point. The game on Sudnay afternoon was similar to that of the first matchup with both teams battling and the game being very physical.
The Shock of Washington Adventist University used a balanced scoring effort from all five of their starters throughout the afternoon to open up a lead versus the Bobcats. At the halftime break, the Shock lead by a score of 44-36. Leading the way for the Bobcats in the first half was Jameel Abdallah who scored 14 points on 5-6 shooting including 2-2 from 3-point range.
In the second half, the Bobcats continued to fight, but timely hoops from the Shock stalled any momentum that the Bobcats put together. At times the Bobcats got the lead down to single digits, but the Shock extended the lead all the way up to 17 points at one point in the second half. All 5 Shock starters finished the game in double figures and the balanced scoring effort was too much for the Bobcats to overcome. Abdallah finished with a team high 18 points followed by Anton Berga and Moses Hughes who finished with 14 points each. The final score on the afternoon was 83-71.
Next Game:
The Bobcats will have just one day of rest before returning to the court on Tuesday, January 24th at 6pm versus SUNY ESF at the Tipperary Hill Community Center.
