How it happened:
From the opening tip of the game, the Bryant & Stratton College- Syracuse Men's Basketball team controlled the tempo of the game and cruised to a comfortable victory over visiting sister college, Bryant & Stratton College- Rochester.
The first half was a bit slower paced as the Bobcats flexed their muscles on the defensive end of the court. The Bobcats were able to force the visitors into tough shots and were dominant on the glass in the first half. Josue Oreste and Jameel Abdallah were big for the Bobcats on the interior and helped the Bobcats open a 31-16 lead going into the half.
In the second half of the game, the Bobcats picked up the tempo and took full control of the game. A balanced scoring effort saw 5 Bobcat players in double figures with Oreste leading all scorers with 12. Following behind him were Darren Joyner, Anton Berga, Jameel Abdallah, and Moses Hughes all with 11 points.
As a result of a full-team effort, the Bobcats lead ballooned up to 27 points in the second half and allowed for every member of the team to get on the court. The Bobcats would maintain a 20-point lead for the final 10 minutes of the game and cruise to an 81-58 victory.
"I thought our group did a great job today pushing each other to play at a high level," said Head Coach Clay Gagen-Sherman. "This win was truly a full-team effort as reflected in the box score and a great indication of the depth that we have. Our team chemistry is continuously growing, and it was great to see our guys cheer each other on and feed off the energy from the bench."
