The Bryant & Stratton College- Syracuse Men's Basketball team got back to winning ways on Saturday with a convincing 76-57 victory over the Tribunes of Monroe Community College.  The win pushes the Bobcats overall record to 4-2.

 

How it happened:

Following a tough 1-point loss on Monday, the Bryant & Stratton College- Syracuse Men's Basketball team looked like they had something to prove in their matchup versus Monroe Community College.  Playing with an extra bit of tenacity and intensity, the Bobcats jumped out in front of the Tribunes 37-23 in the first half and would never look back. 

Setting the tempo for the Bobcats in the first half were  guards, Darren Joyner (15 points) and Anton Berga (14 points).  The duo has been effective for the Bobcats all season and continued to feed off each other's energy on Saturday.

Following the halftime break, the Bobcats were able to maintain their lead and the outcome of the game never really looked in doubt.  A strong second half performance from Josue Oreste (12 points) helped the Bobcats feel comfortable as they defeated the Tribunes of Monroe Community College, 76-57.

"This is a great win for our group following a battle on Monday afternoon," said Head Coach Clay Gagen-Sherman.  "The team continues to improve on a day-to-day basis and we are certainly seeing that reflect on the court.  Our guys did an awesome job not being complacent with the lead at halftime and continued to play hard until the end which is something that we have been preaching to them."

 

Next Game:

The Bobcats will have one of their longer road trips of the season as they head down to Pittsburgh, PA for a matchup with Point Park University on Tuesday afternoon at 3pm.
