Dec 11, 2018

The Bryant & Stratton College- Liverpool Bobcats traveled down the thruway Monday night to take on their rival, Bryant & Stratton College-Albany. It was a tightly contested matchup that saw multiple ties and lead changes throughout.

The Bobcats of Liverpool went into halftime with the momentum and a 36-30 lead. The second half was a ?see-saw? battle as both team took turns taking the lead. Grasping onto a one point lead with 10 seconds left the B&SC-Liverpool defense dug in and had to grind out two defensive stops before Cheikh Dia grabbed the defensive rebound. He was quickly fouled and sealed the game away with two clutch free throws.

B&SC-Albany had one last attempt to tie the game, but the half court heave came up short and the Liverpool Bobcats stole a game on the road. Coach Frisina said after the game that he was very proud of his team?s effort and wants them to soak this one in. ?I am so incredibly proud of these young men and how they hung together and kept battling. This was a complete team win. There was no give up and you are really starting to see some of our younger guys mature.?

B&SC ? Liverpool was led by Kevin Dicola (17 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists) and Xavier Norgbey (13 points, 9 rebounds). They were also helped by Hakeem Ali who corralled 9 rebounds off the glass and Jerry Saintelus adding 10 points. The Bobcats bench was very strong as well, with 10 points from Cheikh Dia, 6 points from Kavon Hunt in addition to 9 points and 4 rebounds from Tim Rouse.
