BSC Bobcats continue their winning ways!
The weekend started with our women's team kicking off against Albany College of Pharmacy. The Bobcats controlled most of the game after a slow start and opened the flood gates in the second half. They were victorious by a score of 6-2. Multiple goals were scored by both Zinnia Reese (Sophomore, Forward) and Asako Ideue (Junior, Midfield). Coach Alex said "We'll continue to celebrate our victories as they come but our slow starts are something I'd like to change. We have been able to build up a lead in our games but id like our team to come out with high energy right from the start. If we continue to start slow thats something the best teams in this league can take advantedge of." This coming friday they will take on Washington Adventist at home at 3PM so come support the 4-0 Bobcats at the CNY Fammily Sports Centre!
On Saturday our Cross Country team participated in the SUNY Oneonta Invitational. Both our runners Kevin Lampman and Sheyla Medina improved their times and ran their personal best. Coach Juan mentioned "I'm proud of the way our team keeps improving. We still have work to do but I know we can get there if we keep working hard in practice and remain dedicated to improving." Saturday the Bobcats will travel to the Roberts Weslyan Invitational for their third meet of the season!
On Sunday the men's team visited Mohawk Valley Community College who is ranked #4 nationally in the NJCAA. This was the hardest test the men have faced this year and they stepped up to the challenge. They defeated MVCC by a score of 3-0 to secure their first road victory of the season. With two goals from Delano Hodge (Junior, Forward) and one by Bogdan Milovanovic (Senior, forward). Coach Nick added "This was a very very good team that we had to face on the road and I'm proud of the way our team played. They were ranked #4 in the NJCAA and we controlled almost the whole game out shooting them 15-2. We are starting to reach that elite level of play I know we can get to". Next Sunday the Bobcats will come back home to take on Berkeley College of New Jersey at the CNY Family Sports Centre at 1pm. Come watch the 3-0 Bobcats as they protect their undefeated record at home!
